With over 30 years of experience in business, marketing, and real estate, Mr. Halloran brings a wealth of knowledge to his industry, and, in particular, to his area of expertise, the Central Lakes Region of Ontario, which includes Muskoka, Haliburton, Parry Sound, Kawartha Lakes, Grey Bruce, and Georgian Bay. When asked why he decided to pursue a career in real estate, Mr. Halloran said:

"In 2012, I was entering my 30th year as a manager, consultant, and entrepreneur when I started doing real estate as a hobby. I worked in pre-construction condominiums in Toronto at first, and I absolutely hated it. But then my wife—a home builder in Toronto—helped me realize that I could approach it the same the same way I approached business. After a hiatus, I came back to real estate in 2014 in Muskoka, and I haven’t looked back since."

Mr. Halloran has thrived by employing a proven, needs-based, analytical approach to real estate rooted in his extensive professional experience. He has also pioneered innovative marketing strategies such as including private chefs and yoga instructors with luxury rentals. Notably, he founded the “Test Drive Your Dream Home” rental program, which lets pre-qualified buyers rent “For Sale” homes before they decide to buy.

As a thought-leader in his field, Mr. Halloran understands how important it is to stay abreast of prevailing trends in his market. Ahead of the curve in many regards, he has been paying close attention to the influx of foreign buyers to the Central Lakes Region, a phenomenon he attributes not only to the area’s appeal but also to Canada's current investment and regulatory environment:

"There was legislation recently passed in Canada that constrains foreign investors from speculating and buying properties called the Non-Resident Speculation Tax, which applies to most of the Greater Golden Horseshoe Region. But there’s a big part of this territory that's exempt from the tax so what we're seeing now is that a lot of foreign investors are coming north for the first time ever to purchase property here because it's exempt from that new legislation."

Mr. Halloran currently serves on the board of Safe, Quiet Lakes, a nonprofit that promotes safe boating practices and environmental stewardship in the region.
