Rick Fradette Has Been Recognized Among the Top in His Industry by Noticed©

Noticed celebrates its newest member, Attorney Rick Fradette

Rick Fradette, Partner & Shareholder, Beliveau, Fradette & Gallant, P.A., has joined Noticed©, an invitation-only service for distinguished professionals. Fradette has been chosen as a Distinguished Lawyer™ based on peer reviews and ratings, dozens of recognitions, and accomplishments achieved throughout his career.

Fradette outshines others in his field due to his extensive educational background, numerous awards and recognition, and career longevity. With over 30 years dedicated to law, he brings a wealth of knowledge to his industry, and, in particular, to his areas of specialization, medical, legal and professional malpractice, employment discrimination and wrongful termination, personal injury and wrongful death, and many others.

The truth is, only those cases where the professional has genuinely violated the standard of care get prosecuted. These cases are too personal and too expensive to prosecute without a genuine, life-altering injury and real violation of the standard of care—and they do not settle for 'nuisance value.'

Rick Fradette, Partner & Shareholder, Beliveau, Fradette & Gallant, P.A.

Before embarking on a career in law, Fradette practiced as a licensed pharmacist in New Hampshire. Looking back, he recalls his motivation for making the career change to become an attorney:

"As a pharmacist, I was very limited in what I could do to help people and have a meaningful impact on their lives. With the support and encouragement of my parents, I decided that I could do more to help people and truly improve their lives through the practice of law. As it turned out, my pharmacy education has been an asset to my law practice, and I’ve never looked back."

Already holding a Bachelor of Science from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Fradette went on to earn his Juris Doctor from UNH Law in 1982. He later earned a Master of Public Health from the Boston University School of Public Health in 2000, concentrating in healthcare risk management and legal/medical ethics.

Examples of Fradette’s medical malpractice cases include winning a $5 million verdict for a woman blinded by her ophthalmologist's negligence and a $1.8 million verdict for a patient who suffered a stroke due to his cardiologist's negligence. In employment law, he won a $31 million verdict for a female pharmacist against Walmart for gender discrimination and retaliation, a $2 million verdict for another female pharmacist for gender discrimination also against Walmart, and a $480,000 verdict against a New Hampshire employer for wrongful termination.

As a thought leader in his field, Fradette has unique insight into prevailing trends and changes in his areas of practice. In particular, he is paying close attention to developments in the use of expert witnesses in professional malpractice cases. He noted:

"Defense lawyers have expert witnesses readily available to them, but for us on the plaintiff’s side, it is often difficult to find experts willing to testify in professional malpractice cases. The suggestion that we need 'tort reform' is wrong. The truth is, only those cases where the professional has genuinely violated the standard of care get prosecuted. These cases are too personal and too expensive to prosecute without a genuine, life-altering injury and real violation of the standard of care—and they do not settle for 'nuisance value.'"

Fradette has been selected for inclusion in New England Super Lawyers® under the Professional Liability section each year since 2007. He is also a past president of the New Hampshire Pharmacists Association and was formerly an Adjunct Professor at the UNH School of Law in Concord, New Hampshire, where he taught Health Care Law and Ethics.
