With 13 years of experience in mortgages, Ms. Evans brings a wealth of knowledge to her industry and, in particular, to her areas of specialization, VA loans and self-employed borrowers. When asked why she decided to pursue a career in mortgages, Ms. Evans said:

"I was a member of an organization called Business Networking International. One day, after a group meeting, a group member came up to me and said he was opening up his own mortgage branch and wanted me to come work for him. At the time, contemplating a straight commission job was scary. However, I followed my intuition and haven't looked back since."

As a thought-leader in her field, Ms. Evans makes sure to stay on top of prevailing trends within her field. In particular, she notes a lack of inventory in the Greater Memphis market:

"The market is constantly changing. It flipped from a buyer’s market to a seller’s market. So now, buyers are running into multiple bids when making an offer on a property. And, if you, as the loan officer, are not on top of your game, you may be the reason your client loses out on that house. That means that if someone calls you after hours or on the weekend, you need to be available and ready to issue a pre-qualification letter. And if a new memo or guideline comes out, you need to be the first one to see it.pre-qualification letter. And if a new memo or guideline comes out, you need to be the first one to see it."

Ms. Evans maintains a 97% client satisfaction rate and was recently featured in Top Agent MagazineOutside of her work, she is active in charitable organizations such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. As a former coordinator of a silent auction for the nonprofit, she now continues to donate her time and money to the great cause. In her free time, Ms. Evans enjoys being with her eleven-year-old daughter and feels it is extremely important to teach her the meaning of giving back.
