I advise my students to understand that the law doesn't exist in a vacuum, but rather is usually driven by changes in society. I want them to try to figure out why the law is what it is and what interests are being projected or protected in various laws.

Garrison "Bud" Klueck, Founding Member & Managing Partner | Klueck & Hoppes, APC

With over 30 years of experience dedicated to law, Mr. Klueck brings a wealth of knowledge to his industry, and, in particular, to his area of specialization, family law, including matters involving child custody, divorce, child support, alimony, adoption, and many other issues. When asked why he decided to pursue a career in family law, Mr. Klueck said:

"Attorneys practicing family law need to know something about everything. We need to know about taxation. We need to know about business formation and dissolution. We need to know about child development. We are the only attorneys who will routinely in court, refer to potty training and breastfeeding in one case and then in the next case, talk knowingly about 1031 tax exchanges. We have to be sophisticated about every possible thing that human beings do."

Today, Mr. Klueck is proud to lead an energetic and aggressive full-service family law firm. When necessary, Mr. Klueck and his colleagues are fighters in the courtroom, with a relentless commitment to their client’s interests. Credentialed by the National Dispute Resolution Center as a mediator, Mr. Klueck also has experience in reaching equitable resolutions outside of the courtroom.

As a thought-leader in his field, Mr. Klueck also lectures as an adjunct professor at the University of San Diego, Western Sierra Law School, and Thomas Jefferson School of Law. He noted he is grateful for the chance to shape young legal minds:

"I advise my students to understand that the law doesn’t exist in a vacuum, but rather is usually driven by changes in society. I want them to try to figure out why the law is what it is and what interests are being projected or protected in various laws."
