"Infertility is changing rapidly. We are doing a lot of genetic testing on embryos to make sure that babies are healthy. We are moving toward transferring fewer embryos to ensure that patients don't get triplets or twins. Furthermore, five to ten years ago it was impossible to freeze eggs, but today we have been able to to do so with successful pregnancy outcomes. The changes we are seeing are truly amazing."

Peyman Saadat, M.D., FACOG, Board-Certified in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Reproductive Fertility Clinic

With 13 years dedicated to medicine, Dr. Saadat brings a wealth of knowledge to his industry, and in particular, to his areas of expertise, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. When asked why he decided to pursue this specialization in medicine, Dr. Saadat said:

"I come from a long line of doctors in my family and I saw how they were helping other people and that got me interested into going into medicine. Later, when I was doing my Ob-Gyn residency, I saw how happy the people that used fertility treatment were when it allowed them achieve their goal of becoming pregnant. So I decided that this was the field I wanted to go into."

As a thought-leader in his field, Dr. Saadat is widely regarded for his groundbreaking research. He has written numerous chapters and published his work in peer reviewed journal articles in the areas of pelvic inflammatory disease, HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases, treatment of poor responders to in vitro fertilization, management of menopause and several other areas. Currently, Dr. Saadat’s research interests include in vitro fertilization, egg donation, endometriosis, and polycystic ovarian syndrome, among many other topics.

To complement his various research interests, Dr. Saadat has been actively involved in patient care and teaching other physicians and students. His prominence in the field gives Dr. Saadat a unique vantage point from which to keep an eye on prevailing trends in fertility medicine. In particular, he is impressed by changes over the course of past decade that are allowing an increasing number of women to overcome their infertility problems. He noted:

"Infertility is changing rapidly. We are doing a lot of genetic testing on embryos to make sure that babies are healthy. We are moving toward transferring fewer embryos to ensure that patients don't get triplets or twins. Furthermore, five to ten years ago it was impossible to freeze eggs, but today we have been able to to do so with successful pregnancy outcomes. The changes we are seeing are truly amazing."
