Dr. Jansen has received numerous awards and honors over the course of his career. He received the National Institute of Health grant in 1986 and 1987, and was named a "Top Doctor" by both Castle Connolly and Atlanta Magazine from 2011 to 2015.
With over 30 years dedicated to medicine, Dr. Jansen brings a wealth of knowledge to his industry, and in particular, to his area of expertise, cardiology, with an emphasis on heart failure and heart transplant cardiology. When asked why he decided to pursue a career in medicine, Dr. Jansen said:
"I went into medicine specifically because my mother was a nurse. I enjoyed going to work with her and realized that caring for people would be a very rewarding profession. Several of my college friends pursued medicine as well."
