David Prouty Has Been Recognized Among the Top in His Industry by Noticed©

Noticed celebrates its newest member, Real Estate Broker David Prouty

David Prouty, Broker/Owner, Get a Rebate Real Estate, has joined Noticed©, an invitation-only service for distinguished professionals. Prouty has been chosen as a Distinguished Real Estate Professional™ based on peer reviews and ratings, dozens of recognitions, and accomplishments achieved throughout his career.

Prouty outshines others in his field due to his extensive educational background, numerous awards and recognitions, and career longevity. He studied business, managing, and marketing at Mankato State University, now known as Minnesota State University–Mankato, and later at Concordia University, before ultimately earning his real estate license in 1997 and his broker’s license in 1999. Since entering the field, Prouty has sold over $80 million of real estate in the Twin Cities area, primarily in Dakota, Scott, and Hennepin Counties.

With the Internet, the consumer can do so much of their own research on homes and neighborhoods whereas in the past we had to do all of that for them. I think this is ultimately a good thing because it lets me focus on helping them find value when buying or selling a home both through my rebate program and in other ways.

With over 20 years dedicated to real estate, Prouty brings a wealth of knowledge to his industry, and, in particular, to his area of expertise, the real estate market of the Twin Cities area. When asked why he decided to pursue a career in real estate, Prouty said:

"My dad was a real estate agent, and my uncle was a broker. Now both my brother and I are real estate brokers. Growing up seeing my dad work, I just couldn’t picture myself sitting behind a desk. This line of work is very different than a nine-to-five job and far more satisfying."

Today, Prouty focuses his work on helping his clients find the most value in their real estate transactions through Get a Rebate Real Estate’s rebate program, which he achieves by returning a portion of his commission to clientele. Though he first developed the program during the 2008-2009 market downturn to save people money in hard times, Prouty decided to make the rebate a permanent part of his business model after realizing it was a unique benefit that not only gave him a competitive advantage but also served as a way of giving back to clients.

As a thought-leader in his field, Prouty distinguishes himself both through his innovative approach to real estate and his unmatched market knowledge. A native of Minnesota and a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS)—a designation held by less than three percent of all Realtors nationwide—he knows the towns, cities, and counties of the region inside and out, giving his clients an edge over other buyers and sellers. This experience also allows Prouty to stay ahead of the curve on prevailing market trends, which he tracks diligently. In particular, he has noticed the significant effect that the Internet has had on his business:

"With the Internet, the consumer can do so much of their own research on homes and neighborhoods whereas in the past we had to do all of that for them. I think this is ultimately a good thing because it lets me focus on helping them find value when buying or selling a home both through my rebate program and in other ways."

Prouty is recognized as a Super Real Estate Agent by both Twin Cities Business and Mpls St Paul Magazines and consistently ranks in the top five percent of all REALTORS® in Minnesota in both volume and value of properties sold.
